Skate Shoes FAQs
How old is skateboarding?
Surfers were building their own skateboards as far back as the 1950’s, but it wasn’t until the 1960’s the skateboards were being mass produced for the public. However, it wouldn’t be until the 1980’s that skateboarding would become the million dollar industry that it is today.
How much should I expect to pay for a skateboard?
That really depends on the type of board and the various components. Skateboards can be found for less than fifty dollars if purchased through a toy or sporting goods stores. However, if you want quality, purchasing through a dedicated skate shop is the way to go, although typically more expensive as well.
Where do I find quality skateboard equipment?
The best place to buy skateboard equipment is unquestionably at your local skate shop. While it’s true that sporting goods stores often carry this equipment, it is often inferior and not intended for “serious” skateboarding.
